Celebrating Mummy

Today, we are not just celebrating a birthday. We are honoring a woman whose life is an example of strength, grace, love, and deep faith. Our mother known affectionately as Mama J, Jendo, or Duracell is a woman whose presence fills every space with quiet power and purpose.

Born in Port Harcourt, she was a focused and determined child, always ready for a challenge. Her early years were marked by her drive to succeed and her refusal to back down from healthy competition. That same spirit carried her into the banking world, where she thrived through many changes and uncertainties.

Eventually, she chose a different path one of purpose and impact. Inspired by her own mother, she founded a school, creating a nurturing space to guide and educate the next generation. Her life became a living testimony to patience, love, and selflessness.

Our mother is a strong, devoted Christian. In hard times, she leans into prayer, doing all she can while entrusting the rest to God. She taught us to live honestly, and even when her discipline was firm, it was always rooted in love and truth.

She bends over backward for everyone she loves even today, she would rather celebrate quietly at home than ask for attention. But that’s exactly why we celebrate her because she never asks, and yet she gives so much.

If her life were a book, it would be titled The Life of a Heroine. And so today, from the bottom of our hearts, we say: We love you, Mom. You are incredibly special. Thank you for being our strength, our example, and our light.
